An exhilarating and challenging Jim Fazio designed 18 hole championship golf course, set on dramatic sloping hills and along the ocean edge. This is the game at its very best, deemed by Robb Report (June 2005) “Best Golf Course”. This is a most distinctive course of unique character and playability.
The Grenadines Estate Golf Club with spectacular, panoramic views from every hole overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Cooling north-easterly trade winds enhance the challenge and the clubhouse awaits your return and beverage service buggies are never far away. This is a most distinctive course of unique character and playability.
The Professional Staff here on Canouan are all fully qualified and accredited PGA Professionals. They have a wealth of experience and knowledge available to both the beginner through to the elite player.
Please contact the Golf Shop for further information and rates.
We have a fully stocked golf shop selling Canouan Resort & The Grenadines Estate Golf Club branded items including shirts, baseball caps & a large range of Golf Balls & gloves.
The golfer can enjoy a cold beverage after nine holes or relax at the completion of their round in the comfort of the clubhouse and gaze out over the course. The course has been designed to make it friendly to all levels of golfer. The front nine will offer a great experience to all abilities. These holes are not as long and are more protected from the elements than the back nine holes. For the accomplished player, from the back tees the front nine holes will offer a challenge that you will enjoy more than ever.
The important factor is to keep the ball straight, as placement of the ball off the tee is paramount. The back 9 offers a separate challenge, the changes in scenery are quite stunning & any stray shots will be punished to the full. The inward 9 offers some 500ft differential, which on its own is a challenge, this along with the 300/400 yard increase on the front 9 makes this a task that any golfer will enjoy taking on. Good luck on what we have simply named “Paradise Found”.

Changing terrain (from amphitheater to mountain) with breathtaking natural beauty and scenery. The first 10 holes & 18th are situated within the amphitheater; Holes 11 through to 17 are built around Mount Royal (877 ft high), with spectacular panoramic views of The Grenadines and The Caribbean. Ideal course design as holes 1 and 10 start from the clubhouse with holes 9 and 18 returning.
Operating times are:
7:00 am to 6:30 pm for the golf course
6:30 am to 6:30 pm for the clubhouse
The first hole a par 5 will start at the clubhouse and climb gently to a green framed by the elevated fairways of the 2nd and 3rd holes.
Other notable front nine holes are the sixth, a par 5 along the ocean (a good hole for a photograph, with views of the Canouan Resort Spa, the Galleria and Godahl reef) also the ninth a challenging par 5 returning to the clubhouse with water catching the unwary golfer to the right of the approach & green.
On the back nine, hole 13 with its panoramic views of the Grenadines, followed by the par 3 14th. Golfers strike down hill from the top of the mountain to a green set some 100 ft below.
Then the 15th, this hole has to be seen to be believed, from the Championship Tee a strike of some 310 yards brings safety; less or more brings disaster. These tees have been cut into rock creating stunning effects as you drive out away from the side of the hill. Hole 16 now plays as a 304 yard Par 3 from the back tees and drops down some 240 feet, for the less adventurous we have also built a further 5 sets of tees offering every golfer the chance to play, what we understand to be, the longest Par 3 in the world.
Hole 17 a par 5 meanders around the lake, this hole is a formidable task offering a challenge whether the golfer goes for the green in two across the lake or lays up on the narrow strip of land before the green, still wary that 18 is yet to come!
The 18th hole runs parallel to the 1st hole towards the clubhouse and is a challenging par 4 of some 486 yards where the unwary golfer can be caught by the water to the left of the green.
